Nose to Nose has planned a series of 10 online sessions to run each Saturday from 2:00 to 3:30 PM. Each session has different themes exploring particular aspects of clowning theory and comedy. There will be open discussions and practical tasks which will be done in small groups and reviewed in a larger group. The series of 10 sessions is limited to 10 participants.
Each week you will be sent an email containing links to the different materials (films, texts etc.) that we will be working with.
Our hope for these sessions is to empower people to do their own project either through devising a clown performance or applying different aspects of clowning in their work or personal lives.
Some example of themes:
impro vs devised – principles of comedy – emotions – object work – puppets – language – rhythm – breaking rules – storytelling – poetry….
Previous experience of our work is required as these sessions involve in part reflecting on your workshop experience.
You will need to have previously attended at least one workshop with Nose to Nose before applying for this course (intro weekend / week course etc)
