European Institute for Applied Buddhism

Keine Vorerfahrungen notwendig.

Stopping, calming, being fully present to each moment are the perfect companions on the path to meet your ‘inner clown’. This clown has nothing in common with the clown of the circus ring; it is the free, spontaneous and playful part of you that lets go of the need to be clever, or to get it ‘right’, just as your ‘buddha-nature’ can accept the world without judging or comparing.

Through play, games and short improvisations we will learn to let go of our need to be in control. Through mindful breathing, movement and deep listening, we will develop the ability to live in the present moment – the place in which we are truly alive.

Sessions of sitting and walking meditation, silence, and relaxation are a perfect partner to the sometimes chaotic but always enjoyable world of the clown. A light, playful few days to build confidence, develop a sense of well being, and provide plenty of fun and laughter!  All levels of ability/experience welcome.

From Sister Bi Nhghiem:  “As senior Dharma Teacher of the EIAB I have many responsibilities besides teaching and life can become quite busy. I sometimes find it difficult to switch off, and relax, but when Teri and Catherine offered to run a clown/mindfulness course I jumped at the chance to simply ‘play’ and enjoyed the weekend immensely. I did not think about work, or ‘family’ concerns at all during the course, and found a great deal of joy in the simple, lighthearted exercises and in the skill in which the clown facilitator encouraged everyone on the course to rediscover the child’s natural ability to play. ‘
