Our influence and training ranges from The Bataclown (France) and the Sacred Art of Clowning to Jonathan Kay\u2019s Theatre of Now and the Roy Hart Theatre.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #cc9966;\"><br \/>\n<strong>OUR CORE VALUES<\/strong><\/span><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/strong><em>We are all trained and accredited facilitators with Nose to Nose. He lives both in the UK and France where he started clowning in 1978. He speaks French and English fluently.<\/p>\n<p>Vivian began teaching in 1988 as part of the Lifeways Festival at <strong><a class=\"docs-creator\" href=\"http:\/\/www.emerson.org.uk\/clowning2\">Emerson College<\/a><\/strong> \u2013 UK. He trained as a facilitator with the\u00a0<a class=\"docs-creator\" href=\"http:\/\/www.bataclown.com\/\"><strong>Bataclown<\/strong><\/a> in 1990 and joined their team in 1991 also working as a modern day Court Jester (<a class=\"docs-creator\" href=\"http:\/\/www.bataclown.com\/Congres-colloques-journees-professionnelles-AG-seminaires-d-entreprise.html\"><strong>Clownanalyst<\/strong><\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>He created <em><strong>Nose to Nose UK<\/strong> <\/em>in 1990, <a class=\"docs-creator\" href=\"http:\/\/nosetonose.info\/na\/\"><em><strong>Nose to Nose of North America <\/strong><\/em><\/a>in 2006, <a class=\"docs-creator\" href=\"http:\/\/www.nosetonose.info\/de\/\"><em><strong>Nose to Nose Germany<\/strong><\/em><\/a> in 2008, <a class=\"docs-creator\" href=\"http:\/\/www.nosetonose.info\/it\"><em><strong>NTN Italy in 2016<\/strong><\/em><\/a> and <em><strong>Fool View<\/strong><\/em>, the Social Clowning group and has trained facilitators in the UK, the USA, Germany and Italy \u2013 <strong><a class=\"docs-creator\" href=\"http:\/\/www.nosetonose.info\/briefhistory.htm\">view history<em>.<\/em><\/a><\/strong><br \/>\nHe continues his role as ambassador for the work by researching the applications of clowning in the context of teacher training, medicine, conflict management, ecology and intercultural work in many countries (<em>South Africa, USA, Senegal, Vietnam, India, Malaysia, Italy, Germany, Norway\u2026<\/em>)<\/p>\n<p>He holds clowning as a social playground for exploring our humanity.<\/p>\n<h1>UK team<\/h1>\n<h3>Alison Stockford<a class=\"docs-creator\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nosetonose.info\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/128838192_10158816587148684_35942922814197665_n.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-1155 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.nosetonose.info\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/128838192_10158816587148684_35942922814197665_n-257x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"192\" height=\"224\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.nosetonose.info\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/128838192_10158816587148684_35942922814197665_n-257x300.jpg 257w, https:\/\/www.nosetonose.info\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/128838192_10158816587148684_35942922814197665_n-877x1024.jpg 877w, https:\/\/www.nosetonose.info\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/128838192_10158816587148684_35942922814197665_n-768x896.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.nosetonose.info\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/128838192_10158816587148684_35942922814197665_n.jpg 1161w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 192px) 100vw, 192px\" \/><\/a><\/h3>\n<p>Ali participated in her first Nose to Nose workshop in 2002 and fell in love with the work. Since training Ali has been facilitating workshops with Nose to Nose since 2016. She holds this work in high esteem as a perfect grounding for all creative work and the bigger picture of trusting ourselves and life. Alison is a qualified and experienced teacher of over 25 years having delivered Performing Arts workshops in mainstream and special schools and older peoples settings. Dancing since the age of four she is drawn to facilitating how others explore the dimension of movement in their clown.<br \/>\nPerforming experience includes: tap dancing and comedy in caf\u00e9-th\u00e9\u00e2tre with Les Amuses Gueules Lille, France; Street Theatre and Theatre in Education with Inside Out Theatre Company, Hastings. In recent work for Nose to Nose, Ali has delivered trainings for the Giggle Doctors \u2013 Theodora Foundation, Lis\u2019n Tell Speech and Language Practitioners, Quantum Marketing, London, medical students at the University of Bristol and social clowning at <em>The Imaginarium<\/em>, \u00a0a writers conference, Cambridge. \u00a0Ali speaks both English and French.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<div align=\"left\">\n<hr \/>\n<\/div>\n<p><a class=\"docs-creator\" href=\"http:\/\/www.nosetonose.info\/images\/carol.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/www.nosetonose.info\/images\/carol.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"331\" height=\"273\" align=\"left\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: 21px;\">Carol Thompson<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<div align=\"left\">Carol&#8217;s training was in English and Theatre Arts at the University of Toronto and the Drama Studio in London. She worked in Education and Theatre for some years and then qualified to be a Psychosynthesis therapeutic counsellor and an NLP Master Practitioner. Carol took these skills into business in the private and public sectors as a Communication Skills Trainer. In recent years she has become involved in the positive psychology movement as a Laughter Leader and now a Clowning Facilitator, combining her interests in education, theatre and psychology.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: 21px;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/user-images.strikinglycdn.com\/res\/hrscywv4p\/image\/upload\/c_limit,fl_lossy,h_9000,w_1200,f_auto,q_auto\/912844\/DSC_0079-2_rlwu8z.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"198\" height=\"298\" \/>Jessica Hernandez<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Jessica studied\u00a0Speech and Drama in Switzerland and England from 2002\u00a0and decided to try out a Nose to Nose clowning course in 2004, which sent her on a wonderfully joyous\u00a0clown journey and messed badly with her sense of wanting to get things &#8220;right&#8221;. From 2006, she trained as a clown facilitator with Vivian Gladwell. Since then, Jessica has been working as an actress, storyteller and clown facilitator. Her multilinguistic background has sent her on many\u00a0adventures abroad to work with teachers, health care professionals and people with additional support needs. A mother of two young\u00a0clowns, Jessica lives and mainly works in Scotland, where she has recently trained to become a Forest School Leader. This allows her to combine her love of stories and playfulness with\u00a0all that Mother Nature has to offer.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h1>Germany team<\/h1>\n<hr \/>\n<h1 class=\"alignleft\" align=\"left\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/www.nosetonose.info\/images\/1122%20Elmlea%20Old%20Pics%20051.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"388\" height=\"291\" align=\"left\" \/><\/h1>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: 21px;\">Catherine Bryden (Canada \/ UK)<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Catherine has been teaching at the Rudolf-Steiner School in Gr\u00f6benzell, Munich, Germany since 2001. In Canada, she studied Developmental Psychology, Theater, Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL), and Translation. She has taught ESL in Canada, Taiwan, Singapore and Germany, where she founded and directed children\u2019s summer language camps in French and English. In the last 5 years, she has been conducting workshops for teachers and student-teachers in communication, improvisation and clowning in Stuttgart and the Witten Annen Seminar for Waldorf teachers, as well as at her school in Munich. She has been coordinating various UNESCO projects, in conjunction with students, parents, and colleagues. For the last two years, she has been training and practicing conflict and mediation. Currently she works as a legal guardian and as a consultant for families.
