This course consists of:

  • 3 mornings (preparation and practice for the performance evening)
  • performance evening followed the next day by a day session (review and research time).

  • 24 November  2017  – PREPARATION AND WARM-UP –   Friday from 18:30
    PERFORMANCE Friday 19:30 – 21:00
  • 25 November 2017   – REVIEW AND RESEARCH – Friday 10:00 – 17:00

This course offers an ideal opportunity to practice improvising in front of a real audience.

The day following the performance evenings will focus on working through the impros again with insights and feedback gained from the previous evening’s performance.

The course introduces the key principles of Social Clowning. The progression in this work requires participants to commit to the whole course of 3 mornings plus the performance evening.

This course requires some experience of clowning.

The course is limited to 10 people.

Venue: Monkeyshine Theatre, The Friary Studio, Callan, Kilkenny, Ireland

Course fee: € 195 for the whole course – (3 mornings + Performance evening + day for review)

Facilitator:  Piotr Bujak

Piotr fell in love with theatre clown during his studies at Speech and Drama School in UK.  He is a trained facilitator with Nose to Nose and has given many workshops starting in 2006.  He  is also a qualified and experienced therapeutic speech and drama practitioner. He regularly takes part in intercultural  and social clowning workshops and performances with Nose to Nose and Bata Clown (France).  He facilitates clowning workshops in Ireland, Poland and Holland. Since a few years he has been a visiting teacher for drama students at KCAT Art Centre in Callan, Co Kilkenny.
